Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Project Director to lead the delivery of critical infrastructure projects across Southeast Queensland. This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly skilled professional to drive capital works and oversee multiple portfolios, including treatment, network, and sustainability initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with planning, design, scheduling, cost, commissioning, and maintenance specialists to ensure seamless execution and long-term success. This role requires strategic oversight, effective budget management, and a strong focus on innovation and Zero Harm culture.

About the Role
  • Lead and deliver a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects, providing strategic oversight and direction to project teams.
  • Foster innovation and promote a Zero Harm culture by mentoring project teams and encouraging collaboration.
  • Drive budget management and collaborate with senior stakeholders to optimise cost and forecasting.
  • Oversee procurement strategies, subcontractor engagement, and supplier coordination to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Engineering qualifications with extensive experience in civil infrastructure project delivery.
  • Water industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Project Management certification and RPEQ (or willingness to obtain).
  • Proven leadership in dynamic, service-oriented contracting environments.
  • Strong communication, analytical, planning, and budgeting skills.
