Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in our Neuro Spinal theatre, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and supporting a highly skilled perioperative team. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless surgical operations, focusing on empathy, confidentiality, dignity, and respect.

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that cater to the unique needs of patients undergoing neuro spinal surgeries.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in neuro spinal surgery and treatment options.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • 3-4 years of experience as a scrub/scout nurse in Neuro/Spinal surgery.
  • Strong critical thinking and initiative to respond confidently in complex situations.
  • Clear and compassionate communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility to work across a mix of morning and evening shifts, with no night shifts.
  • Participation in the on-call roster is part of the role.
