Job Opportunity: Environmental Planning and Approvals Professional

ERM is seeking an experienced environmental planning and approvals professional to join our team as a Partner, focused on Project Planning and Approvals in Sydney NSW, Australia.

This role includes leading and managing an approvals and planning team to secure major project approvals for clients in the renewable (wind farms, solar, hydrogen etc), mining, infrastructure and industrial space. Responsibilities also include building, growing, and managing a high-performance team, identifying emerging talent, and collaborating with colleagues across the nation and globe.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental planning and approvals, impact assessment, and working within WA and Commonwealth legislative requirements. They should have experience building and sustaining relationships with major clients, as well as authorization to work in Australia.

As a key member of our team, this professional will play a vital role in driving innovation and staying ahead of client needs while differentiating ERM in the market.

  • Lead and manage an approvals and planning team to secure major project approvals for clients.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the nation and globe.

Key qualifications include relevant tertiary qualifications, 15+ years of environmental planning and approvals experience, and high degree of technical competence in environmental planning and approvals. A solid understanding of business acumen, with the ability to understand business risk and challenges, and recognize corporate opportunities is also required.
