Job Title: Senior Avionics Engineer

\

The primary function of the Senior Avionics Engineer is to provide technical leadership and expertise in the development, certification, and maintenance of avionics systems for aircraft.

\Key Responsibilities:\
  • \
  • Develop and review aircraft Avionics / Electrical and/or Electronic System Modifications, including supporting documentation.\
  • Hold Engineering Authority (EA) as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) under DASR Part 21J to authorize minor changes to type design & repairs and compliance check of major designs in support of DASA approval.\
  • Apply Systems Engineering processes across the product lifecycle.\
  • Provide coordination and support to project management of tasks through the design development and installation phases.\
  • Provide advice to internal/external stakeholders and representing the team on specific projects, technical issues and in various intra-/inter-organisational meetings as required.\
  • Provide oversight and review work of junior engineers for technical accuracy, adequacy and quality.\
  • Relevant engineering degree (Avionics/Electrical/Mechatronics).\
  • Experience as a Professional Engineer in the aviation industry.\
  • Working knowledge of CASA/DASA/EASA regulations.\
  • Understanding of Configuration Control and Design Change Management.\
  • Must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance.\
