Avionics Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Avionics Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Richmond, New South Wales. As an experienced Bell 412 Licensed B2 (Avionics) Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and performing maintenance on aircraft, demonstrating avionics experience on Bell 412 aircraft.

You will inspect and document completed avionics maintenance on the Bell 412 aircraft, ensuring that all tools and equipment meet calibration requirements and are in good working order prior to use. Additionally, you will troubleshoot aircraft autopilot, instrument, radio, and electrical systems to identify problems and adjust repair systems according to current data and instructions for Continued Airworthiness.

  • Carry out maintenance on aircraft, including certification/coordination for maintenance carried out and/or coordinated by yourself, AME's, and apprentices.
  • Provide on-the-job training and direct supervision of unlicensed AME's and apprentices under your control.
  • Offer ongoing mentoring and coaching to staff to meet department goals.
  • Manage the ordering of spares, components, and materials required for specific maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure that worksheets, logs, tracking updates, and other required records are complete and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Review technical training requirements for B-412 aircraft and work directly with the lead and Chief Engineer to develop training plans as needed.
Requirements
  • Current CASA Part 66 Aircraft Engineer License with B2 category.
  • 2 years of maintenance experience on B-412 helicopters.
  • 2 years of experience training and mentoring staff.
  • Advanced technical writing skills.
