Avionics Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Avionics Engineer to support the development of avionics/electrical modifications to aircraft through design, certification, and technical support processes.

This role will involve working on various aircraft systems, including avionics, electrical, and electronic systems. The successful candidate will have excellent engineering skills, knowledge of CASA/DASA/EASA regulations, and experience in the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development, review, and approval of aircraft avionics/electrical system modifications
  • Hold Engineering Authority (EA) as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) under DASR Part 21J
  • Apply Systems Engineering processes across the product lifecycle
  • Provide coordination and support to project management of tasks through the design development and installation phases
  • Provide advice to internal/external stakeholders and represent the team on specific projects, technical issues, and in meetings as required
Requirements:
  • Relevant engineering degree (Avionics/Electrical/Mechatronics)
  • Experience as a Professional Engineer in the aviation industry
  • Working knowledge of CASA/DASA/EASA regulations
  • Understanding of Configuration Control and Design Change Management
  • Australian citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance
