Senior Mental Health Care Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Mental Health Nurse Unit Manager to lead our team and make a lasting impact on patient outcomes.
About the RoleThis pivotal position involves coordinating patient care, overseeing nursing and multidisciplinary team activities, and ensuring continuity and high-quality outcomes. You will play a key role in managing a specific span of wards, units, or services while improving patient flow, clinical outcomes, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support nursing staff to provide exceptional care
- Oversee after-hours management and use clinical knowledge to guide the team through challenges
- Manage resources, including staffing levels and budgets, to shape the future of mental health care
- A Registered Nurse with a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing and a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience
- Proven leadership and management skills, including experience supervising staff and participating in accreditation processes
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities to ensure culturally appropriate care
- Expertise in risk management, resource allocation, and staff development
- Strong proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office, and financial management
