Job Opportunity

Seeking a motivated and organized individual to coordinate the Indigenous Health Workforce Traineeship Program across Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services in Western Australia.

The program aims to:

  1. Increase the number of skilled Aboriginal people working in the health care sector;
  2. Create viable career pathways in the health and community services sector for Aboriginal people; and
  3. Build the capacity of ACCHS to provide culturally appropriate health care to Aboriginal people.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in program administration, recruitment, training, and development, or a related field;
  • An understanding of the vocational education and training (VET) sector and navigating the intricacies and frameworks of qualifications delivered by Registered Training Organisations (RTOs);
  • Well-developed administrative skills, including strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with applicants, external organizations, management, and employees at all levels of the organization;
  • Highly organized with the ability to effectively plan and coordinate your workload;
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft correspondence, edit documents, and write reports.

Additionally, you must:

  • Hold an unrestricted WA C-Class Driver's Licence;
  • Be required to submit a National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months) prior to appointment;
  • Be legally entitled to work in Australia and provide evidence of this entitlement.
