About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Cloud Operations team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving large-scale global projects and initiatives, influencing cross-functional teams to focus on the delivery of new workflow features and tools that enhance productivity, open capacity at a faster rate, and secure devices to AWS standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in conjunction with a team of Data Center Managers and employees across multiple data centers, on finding better ways to install, maintain network and server hardware.
  • Demonstrate ownership to improve the safety, security, and availability of our data center operations.
  • Provide mentorship for indirect reports and members of the organization (Technicians and Technical Program Managers).
  • Dedicate time to ongoing learning and development, both from a technical/functional and soft skills (critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and adaptability) development perspective.
  • Develop, improve, and share operational best practices across the region and with peers globally.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
