We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Heritage Planner to join our Strategic Planning department at Randwick City Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing specialist heritage advice to support the Council's strategic planning and urban design initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess development applications for impacts on heritage significance, including heritage items, contributory buildings, and heritage conservation areas.
  • Conduct research on heritage issues in strategic planning and urban design, with a high level of autonomy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to prepare and review Local Environmental Plans, Development Control Plans, and Strategies, and develop reports and advice for stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in heritage conservation planning, architecture, urban design, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple development application heritage referrals, planning projects, and tasks with minimal supervision, while meeting strict deadlines and balancing competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in research, analysis, and preparation of high-quality policies, heritage, and strategic planning documents and reports.
