Senior Accountant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. This role involves managing a portfolio of clients, providing accounting services, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns, and BAS/IAS for clients.
  • Support clients with business structuring, cash flow forecasting, tax planning, and succession planning.
  • Build strong relationships with clients by understanding their unique needs.
  • Supervise and guide junior team members in their work.
  • Stay up-to-date with tax legislation and compliance developments.
  • Use cloud-based tools such as Xero and MYOB to deliver efficient service.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Chartered or Certified Public Accountant qualification (or currently working towards).
  • Demonstrated experience working in public practice, with exposure to SME clients preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation.
  • Excellent client-relationship and customer service skills.
  • Experience using Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Two work-related references.
