Role Overview

Registered Nurse/Enrolled Nurse - Oncology is a key position within the Oncology team at Ballarat Hospital. This permanent full-time role involves delivering exceptional patient care.

We are seeking Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses to join our dedicated Oncology team on a permanent full-time basis. The ideal candidates will possess excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, documenting findings accurately.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and relevant others to identify actual and potential problems while maintaining a supportive environment.
  • Anticipate and document the needs of patients and their families during and following hospitalisation.
  • Monitor diagnostic results and investigations routinely.
  • Assist in resolving complex nursing issues and provide guidance to Graduate Nurses, Nursing Affiliates, and Nursing Students as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience, preferably in Oncology or Palliative care, or a genuine interest in these areas.
  • Commitment to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
