Nurse Care Specialist

This position involves working as a dedicated member of our team at St John of God Ballarat Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care and supervision to Graduate Registered Nurses, Nursing Affiliates and Nurse Students.
The Position:- Oncology Team Member
- Interview and examine the patient, documenting the assessment findings.
- Assess and document the anticipated needs of the patient and family during and following hospitalisation.
- Monitor the results of diagnostic procedures and investigations.
- Assist in the assessing of complicated nursing problems guiding Graduate Nurses, Nursing Affiliates and Nursing Students as needed.
- Nursing Care Specialist
- Plan and implement nursing care to meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient.
- Consider the needs of the patient for an attractive, comfortable and safe environment.
- Assist and maintain a high standard of care by assisting the patient with activities of daily living and encouraging appropriate self-care.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably in Oncology or Palliative care specialty or an interest in these areas. They will demonstrate a commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
