This is a critical role leading compliance oversight across trading, retail and commercial partnership teams.

About This Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee and maintain the Energy Markets Risk governance framework, ensuring alignment with risk appetite.

  • Lead compliance planning, controls monitoring, and reporting for trading and retail functions.
  • Coordinate regulatory compliance activities, ensuring obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence compliance culture.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc compliance and risk reports to senior committees.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in senior roles across compliance, risk management, assurance, or internal audit within a complex regulatory environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to build credibility across senior leadership and operational teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple workstreams, and simplify complex compliance issues.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a focus on delivering timely, accurate, and meaningful reporting.
