Accounts Payable Officer

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our team at Optimum Consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices and other financial obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and manage payment requests, including follow-up on approvals and verification of invoices.
  • Enter invoices and credit notes accurately into our automation tool, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review invoices for approved purchase orders with sufficient balance, and manage intercompany recharges.
  • Conduct bi-monthly creditor payment runs and weekly ad hoc payments via EFT and BPAY.
  • Process employee expenses, reconcile monthly corporate credit card and Amex statements, and reconcile and process petty cash.
  • Maintain and respond to queries in the AP inbox daily, and perform additional duties as required to meet month-end deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Proven work experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment across multiple systems, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with the team.
  • Experience with ReadSoft or other AP automation tools is highly desirable.
