Job Title: Quality and Supplier Engagement Lead

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of food and beverage products through our Loading Dock. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the receipt and distribution of products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all items received are compliant with procedures for housekeeping.
  • Monitor short-dated products and report any issues on the Loading Dock.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse & Logistics Manager to ensure all Loading Dock staff are trained and compliant with Quality processes and procedures.
  • Update reporting tools daily and follow through for close-off accordingly.
  • Attend supplier engagement meetings as required to discuss matters related to daily operations and install proactive communication and solutions.
  • Review and monitor food and beverage goods received to the Loading Dock, including reviewing expiry dates, weight, quality, packaging damage, and product temperature checks to ensure safe temperatures.
  • Liaise with suppliers to conduct regular inspections of delivery vehicles, including fridge and freezer compartments, to ensure food safety standards are in effect and take appropriate action in cases of non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with outlet Chefs to ensure all orders are received and stored in a timely manner each day.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Food & Beverage production environments.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.
  • Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, particularly the Liquor Act, Responsible Service of Alcohol programme, Industrial Relations laws, and WHS laws.
