Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Access and Reimbursement Associate Director to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring appropriate access and reimbursement of our cellular and genetic therapies through education and collaboration within an assigned geography.

The successful candidate will proactively build customer relationships to help ensure patient access to therapies and resolution of potential customer reimbursement challenges.

This position requires strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, excellent communication skills, expertise in the US market access environment, and experience in a field reimbursement or hospital administration role.

Key duties include partnering with internal stakeholders, managing objectives and priorities across multiple therapeutic areas, collaborating with field payer teams, and establishing relationships with key institution/hospital personnel.

The position also involves overnight and weekend travel to attend internal meetings, conferences, and interfacing with Patient Support as appropriate.

  • Develop and maintain geographic and account business plans
  • Collaborate closely with field payer teams on coverage policy developments and coding education
  • Establish relationships with key institution/hospital personnel: C-Suite, Operations, Revenue Cycle Management, Finance, Managed Care, and other stakeholders responsible for access, coding, billing, reimbursement, and overall financial clearance
  • Provide reimbursement-related support and education to secure access for new procedures and therapies
  • Coordinate comprehensive reimbursement pull-through by engaging with institution/hospital personnel to educate on managed care and government payer coverage policies, billing and coding requirements, Medicare and State Medicaid reimbursement methodologies, prior authorization and medical exception processes, claims submission and appeals processes, and trade and distribution
