**The position**

As an Associate Lecturer in Radiation Therapy (Teaching and Research or Teaching Intensive), you will provide high quality academic education in the area of Radiation Therapy and engage in interdisciplinary team teaching for the areas of Diagnostic Radiography, Nuclear Medicine and other Health Science Programs.

You will be committed to undertaking a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) and will develop a research profile through collaborations within the discipline, multidisciplinary teams and with our clinical and industry partners. As an Associate Lecturer, you will contribute to growing the professional profile of the Radiation Therapy discipline at the University at a local, national and global level.

This position has the flexibility to be a balanced teaching and research role or teaching intensive dependent on the successful applicant's experience and qualifications.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will:

- Hold a graduate academic qualification in Medical Radiation Science (Radiation Therapy).
- Currently hold, or be eligible for, unrestricted AHPRA Registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner (Radiation Therapy).
- Be committed to undertaking a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) in a relevant field to Radiation Therapy.
- Have significant current clinical experience (5 years +) working as a clinical Radiation Therapist.
- Demonstrate highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a team and with people of diverse backgrounds in an effective, cooperative, collegial, and mutually respectful manner.
- Be able to contribute at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, taking responsibility for the preparation and delivery of course modules and coordinating one or more courses, including collaboration in curriculum design and delivery where appropriate.
- Have a sound understanding of contemporary professional and educational issues in Medical Radiation Science (MRS) and the broader health domains.
- Demonstrate capability/experience and effectiveness in the design and delivery of high-quality teaching at a tertiary level and/or in clinical practice including the incorporation of new technologies and approaches.
- Demonstrate high-level and recent ability in RT planning, simulation and treatment.
- Be able to efficiently perform in allocated internal roles, sharing academic service responsibilities, contributing to outcomes of internal committees, and beginning to develop external clinical partnerships.
