The Position

We are seeking an experienced Children's Health Specialist to join our team in Tasmania. As a key member of our Paediatric Department, you will be responsible for providing consultative, inpatient, and outpatient services to children and their families.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and skilled doctor to make a real difference in the lives of our young patients. You will work closely with a talented team of specialists, registrars, and junior medical officers to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert medical care to children, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of paediatric conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Mentor and supervise junior medical staff, promoting professional development and growth.
About the Role

As a full-time Staff Specialist, you will work a 76-hour fortnight, enjoying a great work-life balance. Our department offers a comprehensive undergraduate and graduate clinical training program, accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).

What We Offer:

  • A competitive annual salary of AU$250,000 - $350,000, depending on experience.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent specialist qualification.
  • Current AHPRA Registration.
  • Demonstrated skills in the investigation and care of paediatric patients.
