About the Role

The hospital you will be working in is Tasmania's largest and most renowned hospital, providing high-quality medical services to approximately 250,000 people across the southern region.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will include delivering high-quality mental health care in accordance with National Mental Health Standards and frameworks, legislative requirements, and organisational policies and procedures. You will provide comprehensive general inpatient and community psychiatric services, act as a consultant to mental health professionals and other agencies regarding the assessment and management of individuals with mental health disorders, and undertake supervisory responsibilities with Registrars/Career Medical Officers and other medical staff as appropriate.
