Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Mental Health Nurse Specialist. This is a permanent full-time position working up to 76 hours per fortnight.
Salary and BenefitsOur salary range for this position is $75,902 - $102,908 per annum, with opportunities for progression to Grade 4. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive:
- A 11.5% employer superannuation contribution
- Salary packaging benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year
- Relocation assistance support available
- Professional development and accelerated pathways
- Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible
As a Mental Health Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality nursing care to consumers, their families, and carers
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conducting biopsychosocial assessments and monitoring mental health status
- Completing required clinical documentation, including assessments, risk assessments, and clinical correspondence
- Participating in research and quality improvement activities to advance the practice of nursing
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Possession or working towards a specialist tertiary graduate or postgraduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification
- Demonstrated experience working in mental health settings, preferably in a leadership or specialist role
