Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Mental Health Nurse Specialist. This is a permanent full-time position working up to 76 hours per fortnight.

Salary and Benefits

Our salary range for this position is $75,902 - $102,908 per annum, with opportunities for progression to Grade 4. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive:

  • A 11.5% employer superannuation contribution
  • Salary packaging benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year
  • Relocation assistance support available

  • Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible
Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  1. Providing high-quality nursing care to consumers, their families, and carers
  2. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  3. Conducting biopsychosocial assessments and monitoring mental health status
  4. Completing required clinical documentation, including assessments, risk assessments, and clinical correspondence
  5. Participating in research and quality improvement activities to advance the practice of nursing
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
  • Possession or working towards a specialist tertiary graduate or postgraduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification
  • Demonstrated experience working in mental health settings, preferably in a leadership or specialist role
