Job Description

This role involves setting and managing the end-of-lease value of vehicles, as well as recommending maintenance budgets for FleetPartners Australia and New Zealand.

  • Key deliverables include providing day-to-day residual value and maintenance recommendations to support sales teams.
  • The role reviews and recommends residual value positions for all vehicles quoted by the business.
  • Maintenance budgets are recommended for all quotable vehicles within various asset classes.
  • Ad hoc portfolio analysis is conducted to support business decisions.
  • The role proactively identifies opportunities to improve day-to-day processes.
Responsibilities
  • Analysis of large volumes of motor vehicle sales data to identify price trends and movements.
  • Utilization of Excel for analysis, modeling, and calculation of forecast residual values in a complex matrix of multiple variables.
  • Familiarity with motor vehicle specifications and knowledge of vehicle market trends.
  • Supporting business to manage both residual value and maintenance risks across designated portfolios.
  • Extensive data analysis and collaborative engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in a quantitative or commercial discipline such as finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, or similar.
  • Working experience in a commercial analytical role including valuation, forecasting, pricing, and costing.
  • Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide, SQL & Microsoft Office Suite.
  • An appreciation of motor vehicles.
  • Sound experience in the quantitative analysis of data and application of qualitative insight to derive forecast valuations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple concurrent tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with ability to work autonomously or in groups without managerial supervision.
