Job Overview

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of the project management office, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and monitoring of large and complex projects.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project control systems, including cost, schedule, and risk management. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project control systems, managing project finances, and developing and implementing effective strategies to meet project objectives.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Cost Management: Develop and maintain project budgets, track project expenditures, identify variances, prepare cost reports and forecasts, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on budget.
  • Financial Planning: Manage project financials, update based on actuals and forecast resource requirements, timesheet administration, accounts payable and receivable process, and monthly accruals.
  • Document Control: Ensure all project documents are organized and accessible, maintain version control, manage document distribution, and support project audits.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular project status reports, analyze project performance data, provide insights, assist in preparing project change orders and claims, and collaborate with project managers and stakeholders.

 

To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree or certification in a related field (desirable) and a minimum 5 years' experience in project accounting/finance business partner roles. You should also have proven experience with EACs, revenue recognition, and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.

What We Offer

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that can be based in Canberra (preferred), Melbourne or Brisbane. The successful candidate must be eligible for an AGSVA Security clearance.
