Environmental Operations Coordinator

**Role Overview**

This role is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of solid and liquid waste processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support and coach the Environmental Team to achieve environmental management system procedures
  • Maintain effective communication within the team on daily operations
  • Physically operate and coordinate environmental department equipment to meet department needs, including waste processing, segregation, bin servicing, cleaning, trade waste equipment daily operation, and information management
  • Act as an active contributing member of the emergency response team in pollution incident response
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment of all waste handling areas to meet GMP, safety, audit, and legal requirements, creating a pleasant place to work

About You:

  • Certificate III in Waste Management or demonstrated waste management experience
  • Capacity and experience leading/coordinating a small team covering 24-hour operations
  • Forklift license required or willingness to obtain
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in computer use
  • Physically strong/fit for duty (role involves a combination of leadership and hands-on/physical tasks)
