Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled performance programmer to join our team in designing engaging experiences for intergenerational audiences.

The ideal candidate will have experience in presenting performance-based work in traditional and non-traditional spaces, with a strong network of performers and performance companies.

Key responsibilities include developing programs that connect parents, kids, and grandparents with wonder, working within multidisciplinary teams and community stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of the program from 30 March to 12 April.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing programs that engage intergenerational audiences, especially children and parents
  • Working within multidisciplinary teams and community stakeholders
  • Ensuring the successful execution of the program

Program Timeline:

  1. September: On-boarding, review festival structure, commence programming
  2. October: Review grant applications, reach out to key performance groups
  3. November: Finalise grant applications with the Program Coordinator, work with the Festival Education Manager to prepare materials for school integrations
  4. December: Finalise program and education integrations
  5. January - March: Occasional meetings to ensure the program and partnerships are on track
  6. 30 March - 12 April: Join the festival to review the impact of the program, check-in with artists
  7. Late April: Review the festival program, analytics, and make recommendations for the next year
