Job Summary

Expert Water Engineer Role
  • Seeking a Senior Civil Water Engineer to contribute to our Western Australia Water Group, leveraging 90-year experience in the sector and strong client relationships.
  • This position involves:
  • Developing civil and hydraulic engineering calculations for water and wastewater planning and design projects;
  • Coordinating resources, overseeing budgets and supervising timelines for quality and timely project completion of multi-disciplinary design teams;
  • Preparing proposals and delivering presentations to clients to secure work;
  • Managing concurrent tasks, proposals or projects with competing priorities in a professional and proactive manner;
  • Overseeing knowledge sharing including mentoring junior team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Design expertise in water and wastewater transmission, distribution, conveyance and treatment civil infrastructure, including pipelines of various materials and sizes, storage facilities, pump stations, etc.
  • Hydraulic design expertise, including network modeling, pumped systems, gravity sewers and open channel.
  • Strong focus on successful delivery and client service.
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively across the business and externally.
  • Project Management experience in managing resources, budgets, timelines and quality on medium to large-scale projects.
  • Experience in helping win work.
  • Ability to provide specialist input into water and wastewater transmission, distribution and conveyance systems for municipal, mining, oil & gas and other markets.
  • Strong writing skills to produce high-quality reports, proposals, etc.
