The Role

The AML/CTF Analyst will assist with PEP assessments for all R&SS and corporate market clients, utilizing PEP, Sanction & Adverse Media screening software. As part of our team, you will perform a wide range of complex AML/CTF intelligence activities, including due diligence, vetting, and screening using third-party software. You will also conduct detailed open-source reviews, source of wealth/source of fund reviews, and PEP and network analysis reviews.

Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities

  • Review case files in Accuity software to determine false positives, potential matches, and full matches based on match criteria.
  • Ensure all decisions are accurately recorded within the Accuity software.
  • Create and provide monthly and quarterly reports to clients.
  • Assess AML rules that appear on daily ALERT files.
  • Extract, review, and provide monthly and quarterly transaction monitoring reports.
  • Implement and embed Service Excellence initiatives to improve quality, performance, and efficiency of the teams.
  • Engage with all members and teams within the Financial Crimes department to manage and mitigate financial crime risks effectively and efficiently.
  • Undertake client engagement and support on AML/CTF processes.
  • Present at staff onboarding, operational, and contact centre team meetings, and direct staff training.

Experience and Personal Attributes

  • Client Engagement & Support on AML/CTF & ECDD investigations
  • Minimum 6 months' experience with Accuity software or similar screening software highly regarded but not essential.
  • Knowledge of AML/CTF legislation and obligations from a financial services perspective.
  • Experience in high-volume administrative/reporting processing environments.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience within AML/CTF environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and methodologies.
  • Strong quality assurance and staff development focus.
  • Ability to set clear goals to achieve outcomes, take accountability, and ownership of actions and hold others accountable to meet commitments.
