Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Tax Dispute Resolution and Controversy team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax, tax law, and tax disputes, with a strong background in advising clients on domestic and cross-border tax issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advising clients on tax disputes, risk reviews, audits, and litigation;
  • Developing advocacy skills through working with clients and specialists across KPMG Law and KPMG;
  • Collaborating nationally with the Tax Dispute Resolution & Controversy team on engagements;
  • Working closely with other specialist groups across KPMG's Deals, Tax & Legal practice in Australia and internationally.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a Law Degree and over 8 years' experience in corporate tax, international tax, tax law, and/or tax dispute resolution and controversy.

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and project management skills;
  • Ability to integrate information from various sources and consider the broader impact of issues;
  • Leadership skills and ability to motivate and work as part of a high-performing team;
  • Australian and/or other Commonwealth country legal experience.
