Pet Care Receptionist

We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Pet Care Receptionist to join our team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will be cross-trained across all areas of our pet care facility, from caring for our four-legged guests to providing friendly customer service at reception.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome pets & their owners into the facility
  • Check in and out our furry guests and take accurate notes of their individual/special requests
  • Manage the phones to take bookings and answer telephone enquiries
  • Promote retail sales of pet supplies to suit each individual pet/owner's needs
  • Run front-of-house reception and general administration duties
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain high-quality guest services, including keeping owners up to date during their pet's stay
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in a fast-paced reception role
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate professionally
  • Strong computing and administration skills with the ability to quickly learn new software systems
  • Availability to work peak periods including public holidays, Christmas, Easter and school holiday periods
  • Confident handling pets of all sizes, with a calm and caring approach
  • Reliable transport (there is no public transport servicing our location during operating hours)
