Job Opportunity: Care Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide high-quality care and support to residents in a home for the aged.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate empathy and understanding when interacting with residents.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by providing exceptional patient-centred care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Help with mobility, including transferring residents from bed to chair, assisting with walking, and using mobility aids safely.
  • Support residents with feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration, and assisting with special dietary needs.
  • Assist with medication reminders and support residents in taking prescribed medications, under the guidance of a nurse.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a caring and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe living environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks, including making beds and cleaning rooms.
  • Assist with organizing and engaging in activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.
  • Respond to residents' requests for assistance in a timely and professional manner.
  • Follow care plans as outlined by registered nurses and healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care are met.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care.
  • First Aid and CPR Certification.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or be in the process of obtaining, NDIS Clearance/Valid police check and valid work rights in Australia.
