Job Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Officer role is a 12-month contract position that involves managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, and recording all incoming and outgoing payments accurately in the accounting system.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional to work on key areas across Accounts Receivables, including levy and other revenue billing management and collections, generating invoices and account statements, performing account reconciliations, maintaining accounts receivable files and records, investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries, and annual testing of the billing engine and issues that may arise.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong time management skills, a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment, good communication and interpersonal skills, and strong initiative and ability to problem solve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer accounts, including collecting outstanding invoices and recording payments accurately.\
  • Work on key areas across Accounts Receivables, including levy and other revenue billing management and collections.\
  • Generate invoices and account statements, perform account reconciliations, and maintain accounts receivable files and records.\
  • Investigate and resolve any irregularities or enquiries, and test the billing engine annually.\

Required Skills and Qualifications:

You will need to have strong time management skills, a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment, good communication and interpersonal skills, and strong initiative and ability to problem solve. Desirable but not essential knowledge/experience includes Oracle - Accounts Receivable, Billing engine and Accounts Payable, relevant legislation applicable to levies and compliance matters, and tertiary qualifications in finance/accounting.
