Public Areas Cleaning Job Opportunity

Maintain the cleanliness of hotel public areas and back-of-house spaces in accordance with standards.

This role provides a chance to develop your Hospitality career within an international company; either in Australia or overseas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure public areas, corridors, and surrounding back of house areas are clean and tidy.
  • Clean fixtures, glass, mirrors, and polish metal surfaces.
  • Carry out scheduled deep cleaning of areas.
  • Safe handling of cleaning chemicals, specialised equipment, and machines.
  • Collection and disposal of rubbish at the end of each shift.
  • Ensure carpets and upholstery are stain-free through vacuuming, spot cleaning, and shampooing.
  • Report any defects or maintenance to housekeeping Management.
  • Report any lost and damaged items following policy and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Public Area cleaning within a hotel environment (four or five-star hotel experience is preferred) or similar fast-paced, cleaning services environment.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to act consistently with clear ethics and values in accordance with confidentiality.
  • Superior customer service skills along with the capability of working both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • The flexibility to work a rotating roster (11.00pm to 07.00am), including weekends and public holidays.
