Clinical Lead

This is a part-time ongoing term role based within RCH Mental Health. The successful candidate will provide clinical care to young people with eating disorders and other mental health disorders in the Joey Pod specialist eating disorders unit and the Banksia ward.
The role involves providing oversight of the clinical care of consumers with eating disorders and other acute mental health problems, conducting and leading clinical assessments, diagnosis, recovery planning, implementation of the plan and discharge of consumers.
The successful candidate will also provide consultant input to the Banksia Ward as required to ensure timely assessments, treatments and discharges in line with the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022.
Maintenance of systems that coordinate clinical care with multi-disciplinary teams during business hours and after-hours is also an essential aspect of this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Specialist Medical Practitioner registration with AHPRA
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
- Experience in the mental health sector and knowledge of relevant Mental Health legislation
- Excellent clinical skills and commitment to professional development
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
