Located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, Novotel Surfers Paradise offers an excellent shopping, entertainment, and nightlife experience. The hotel features 408 well-appointed rooms, along with a variety of dining options, including The Restaurant, Blvd Cafe and Bar, pool bar, and in-room dining. We provide a relaxed, family-friendly environment, with a heated outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball and netball court, BBQ area, gym, and kids' corner. For our conferencing and events guests, we have 6 modern function rooms available, accommodating up to 500 delegates.
About the JobWe are seeking enthusiastic and energetic Room Attendants to join our diverse Housekeeping team at Novotel Surfers Paradise. Ideally, you have previous experience in a similar role in a hotel with 200+ rooms. We offer casual and permanent part-time positions.
As a member of the Housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms, guest corridors, and service areas. This includes changing bed linen, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and restocking amenities. You will enjoy working in a team environment and providing a quality customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Attending to guest enquiries and requests in a timely manner
- Cleaning guest rooms as required, ensuring they meet brand standards
- Carrying out allocated cleaning duties to achieve brand standards throughout the hotel
- Transferring dirty linen and removing rubbish and recycling
- Safe handling and use of chemicals
To be successful in this role, you have a passion for the Hospitality Industry and are committed to delivering high levels of customer service. You will have unlimited work rights in Australia and be available to work varied shifts from early mornings to late evenings, including weekends and Public Holidays as per our business demands.

Experience:- Previous cleaning experience, with hotel cleaning experience highly desirable
- A can-do positive attitude and service with a smile
- A keen eye for detail and good time management skills
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable using a two-way radio
- Excellent personal presentation
- Flexible availability to work on a rotating 7-day roster, including weekends and school holidays, and overnight when required
- Understanding of correct chemical usage and manual handling techniques to ensure safe work practices in this physical role
