Project Overview

A high-calibre Senior Subdivision Project Leader is sought to lead subdivision projects across the Newcastle and Central Coast region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor project progress, including regular program reviews and reports to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong financial management skills and commercial acumen in decision-making.
  • Provide professional direction to supervise works contracts, monitor contractor progress and negotiate variations, claims and other issues.
  • Prepare scope of works and manage commercial arrangements with sub-contractors.
  • Manage consultant, subcontractor & supplier procurement, ensuring comprehensive scope of works are prepared and included in tender documentation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of project, site and graduate engineers.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through the promotion of safe work practices.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in project management, particularly in subdivisions projects.
  • Competent in planning and organising work schedules and able to deliver to timelines.
  • Ability to provide professional direction to supervise works contracts, monitor contractor progress and negotiate variations, claims and other issues.
  • Ability to identify and respond to project risks and issues, including completing complex risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to resolve client and stakeholder concerns.
  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering with relevant years of experience in the construction industry.
