About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People Advisory Lead to join our team at Versent. As a key member of our People & Culture function, you will be responsible for leading employment relations, performance, work health & safety, and compliance-based programs of work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end case management of performance and employment relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance handling.
  • Maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships across all levels of leadership to identify emerging people matters and support early intervention and risk mitigation.
  • Provide coaching and facilitate internal people-based legal updates as the SME for People Advisory, where required.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of policy and practice frameworks within the role's remit at Versent, in alignment with Telstra Group and changing legislative requirements.
  • Support compliance-based initiatives, including work health and safety, privacy, modern slavery, sexual harassment prevention, and people risk management.
  • Assist with key cyclical activities related to wage compliance, such as remuneration review and modern award coverage checks.
Requirements
  • 4-5 years of broad generalist Human Resources experience and qualifications in a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in an Employment Relations specialist role, or at least 1 year of experience in an equivalent role.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering compliance frameworks related to people-based policies, mandated reporting, and requirements.
  • Prior experience project managing programs of work from conception through to post-delivery support.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw actionable insights from data.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain key stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven ability to manage, plan, organize, and prioritize own workload and timeframes to achieve objectives in a timely manner.
