Petbarn Sales Assistant Job Opportunity

Petbarn, a leading pet specialty retailer, is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team in Surry Hills. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to a positive store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including pet care and nutrition
  • Contribute to a positive store environment, including maintaining a clean and organized store
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and meet customer needs
  • Perform other duties as required, including lifting heavy items and working on weekends
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience working in a high-volume, disciplined retailer
  • Strong merchandising skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • High integrity, composure under stress, and a determination to succeed
  • Ability to work unsupervised and be flexible with working days and hours
  • Commitment to the care of pets and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
