Generator Technician

This role involves working as part of a team to service and maintain generators units.

  • Maintaining strong communication links with internal and external clients is essential for this position.
  • The technician must be able to coordinate delivery items to arrive at the relevant site or store on schedule.
  • Effective relationships must be developed at multiple levels with suppliers, customers, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders.
  • Afterhours enquiries or on call duties must be responded to courteously and promptly, with issues resolved or forwarded to a relevant person appropriately.
  • The technician must understand and follow relevant branch systems effectively.
  • Participation in the development of and training in new policies & procedures is positive and supportive.
  • Familiarity with company policies and procedures is required.
  • The technician identifies areas for improvement and raises them with management as appropriate.
  • Generators are repaired and serviced on premises and client sites to meet standards.
  • Modifications of generators are completed to meet standards.
  • Issues and problems with generators are identified, diagnosed, and resolved.
  • Demonstration of understanding and commitment to Company Health & Safety System, policies, procedures, and protocols is necessary.
  • Providing timely and accurate information and managing costs effectively is crucial.
