Tyre Maintenance Specialist

The role of the Tyre Maintenance Specialist involves overseeing the upkeep of all rubber tyres in our Open Pit department.
- Inspect work areas for hazards, damage, and defects on a regular basis.
- Weekly inspections of tools to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations are conducted.
- Planned maintenance is performed on open pit fleet tyres, and assistance with HME fleet repairs as needed is provided.
- Tools and equipment are regularly inspected for proper functionality.
- Responsibility lies with allocating parts to work orders.
- Review of work tasks is conducted to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintaining open communication with supervisors is crucial.
- Records of tyre fitting and rim registers are maintained within the CMMS.
- Weekly inspections of HME tyres involve monitoring wear rates, tread depths, and air pressures.
- Adequate stock levels of tyres and consumables must be ensured.
- At least 1 year of experience in tyre maintenance or similar roles is essential.
- Trade qualification in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology (AUR21920) up to Cert VI or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience with CMMS, tyre management programs, or similar software is beneficial.
- Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class C driver's licence is necessary.
