Equipment Maintenance Specialist

The maintenance team plays a vital role in ensuring our equipment is operational and running smoothly.

We are committed to creating technology solutions that transform the global mining industry, providing rapid, accurate, and safe ore analysis.

This position will form part of our Equipment Maintenance Team based out of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.

  • Maintenance includes mechanical, electrical, and software aspects.
  • Scheduled monthly maintenance as well as responding to breakdowns on short notice.
  • Generating detailed reports about maintenance and repairs completed.
  • Providing technical support via telephone, email, and remote login for troubleshooting and performance checks.
  • Training customers on safe operation and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Monitoring system performance and providing engineering solutions to improve design and operational problems.
  • Testing equipment for performance and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Supervising contractors and managing upgrades or repairs while adhering to engineering specifications and protocols.
  • Assisting in process improvement and installation/commissioning of new installations.
  • Managing spares inventory and record keeping on site.
Essential Requirements

Must have:

  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining technical equipment.
  • Strong focus on safety.
  • Technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Able and willing to travel within Australia including at remote locations such as mine sites.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Rights to work in Australia.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Familiarity with office productivity software.
Desirable Qualifications

Would be advantageous if you have:

  • Tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • Familiarity with the mining industry and mine-site operations.
  • Customer Service and Field Service experience in the mining or mineral sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in fault finding in electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Hands-on experience in one or more areas: electrical wiring and safety, power distribution, mechanical maintenance and repairs; basic electronics; metal-working; engineering drawing and design.
