Virtual Care Centre Medical Officers/General Practitioners/Specialists Job Opportunity

Amplar Health Home Hospital seeks experienced Virtual Care Centre Medical Officers/General Practitioners/Specialists to deliver high-quality acute hospital-level services to patients in their homes.

The successful candidate will participate in a 7-day rolling roster, working 8-hour shifts between 7am and 10pm at our Virtual Care Centre located in Eastwood, South Australia.

About this Opportunity
  • Exercise your clinical experience in diagnosing, investigating, treating and managing acute conditions.
  • Provide virtual and in-person care as part of an interprofessional team.
  • Manage acute presentations in the community for conditions such as cellulitis, community-acquired pneumonia, exacerbation of COPD, VTE and complicated UTI.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support holistic patient-centred care.
  • Access professional development and mentoring opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Full unrestricted registration as a medical practitioner with at least 5 years' experience as a medical registrar, General Practitioner or Specialist.
  • Ability to apply theoretical knowledge and practical experience to determine the appropriate clinical diagnosis, investigations and treatment of patients with acute conditions.
  • Confidence in providing virtual care and reviewing biometric data trends to assist with early identification of deterioration.
  • High level of professionalism, ability to relate well with people of all backgrounds and a commitment to delivering exemplary care.
  • South Australian Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or willing and eligible to obtain).
