Health Information Specialist Role

  • This is a vital opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of Australians by providing health information and support through phone-based services.
  • You will play a key role in supporting callers with their health concerns, utilizing your expertise as a Registered Nurse to assess symptoms and provide recommendations for care.

As a Health Information Specialist, you will work in a flexible home-based environment, interacting with external services and serving vulnerable population groups with high rates of mental health issues, limited English proficiency, elderly and poor health literacy.

About You:
  • You are a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse, driven by a passion for delivering exceptional virtual care.
  • You have unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse for a minimum of 3 years.
  • You have at least 3 years of full-time (or equivalent) clinical experience within the last 5 years as a Registered Nurse.
  • You have a varied nursing background involving substantial public contact, including complex primary health, acute medical, or emergency department settings.
Key Details:
  • This is a part-time or full-time position, requiring a minimum of 20 hours per week.
  • The shifts are flexible, ranging from 2 to 10 hours in length.
  • The operational hours are between 5 PM – 5 AM, Monday to Saturday.
