The role of Medical Officer at our Virtual Care Centre offers a unique opportunity to leverage clinical expertise in diagnosing and managing acute conditions via virtual care platforms.

As part of an interprofessional team, you will combine virtual and face-to-face care to deliver holistic patient-centered care. This position requires strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and comprehensive care planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exercising clinical judgement in diagnosing and managing complex medical conditions via virtual consultations.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Providing high-quality patient education and support to empower patients in their health journeys.
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Current full unrestricted AHPRA registration with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a medical registrar or General Practitioner.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience in applying clinical diagnosis and treatment.
  • Confidence in providing high-quality virtual care and interpreting biometric data trends to identify potential patient deterioration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with diverse individuals.
