About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Director, Project Origination to join our origination team based in Sydney, Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, arranging, and transacting project finance opportunities, typically as part of a bank lead arranging group or acquired on a primary or secondary syndication basis.

Job Description:

Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 per annum (depending on experience)

The successful candidate will work in an inspiring environment within a highly motivated culture, where an enthused team focuses on the customer and on best practices. The role requires you to help develop, grow, and manage a pipeline and backlog of deals to meet or exceed business targets. At the same time, the role requires you to help serve the Siemens Business Companies and their customer's projects with targeted debt solutions in line with the Project and Structured Finance Debt franchise's strategy and in close collaboration with the Head and fellow team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, arrange, and transact project finance opportunities
  • Develop, grow, and manage a pipeline and backlog of deals to meet or exceed business targets
  • Collaborate with the Head and fellow team members to provide targeted debt solutions to Siemens Business Companies and their customers' projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a financial background
  • Min 5 years transactional experience with at least 2-3 years' experience in the Australian market and preferably already be based in Sydney
  • Good commercial understanding and awareness of the Australian finance industry in context of project and structured finance debt
  • Demonstrate good analytical skills
  • Potential experience in nascent technologies such as Battery Energy Storage, Datacenters, and Electromobility - including knowledge of key players, market dynamics, and business mechanics
  • Previous experience in involvement, negotiation, and execution of project and structured finance transactions as part of a deal team
  • Medium amount of travelling required
