About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Michael Page Australia. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of all financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of all financial information.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger and perform regular reconciliations of key accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, and coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, providing variance analysis and explanations for financial performance.
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, assisting in performance evaluations and development of team members.
  • Participate in and lead special projects, continuously seeking process improvements and efficiencies.

Requirements:

  • Min 3 years of relevant experience as a Financial Accountant or Senior Accountant, ideally with the FMCG or Retail industry.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 is a strong requirement.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
