Senior Financial Accountant Opportunity

MARS Recruitment is partnering with a leading financial services organization to find a skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join their team.

This role involves managing month-end processes, consolidating financials, and providing insights on financial performance. The successful candidate will also play a key role in preparing tax returns, financial statements, and coordinating with auditors during reporting periods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis for various entities and assist with group consolidation.
  • Contribute to the development of management reports and analysis, supporting regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Assist in preparing tax filings, including BAS, FBT, and Income Tax returns, while ensuring all compliance requirements are met.
  • Prepare financial statements and act as a point of contact during audits.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline month-end procedures and support various finance-related projects to enhance reporting efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and CA/CPA qualification.
  • 3-5 years' experience working at a Big 4 or Mid-Tier chartered firm (essential).
  • Experience in financial statement preparation is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Team-oriented and adaptable, with a focus on meeting deadlines and driving improvements.
