MARS are partnering with an established and growing financial services organisation to seek a qualified Senior Financial Accountant.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting and analysis, with experience in managing month-end processes, consolidating financials, and providing insights on financial performance.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis for various entities.
  • Contribute to the development of management reports and analysis, supporting regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Assist in preparing tax filings, including BAS, FBT, and Income Tax returns.
  • Prepare financial statements and act as a point of contact during audits.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline month-end procedures and support various finance-related projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and CA/CPA qualification.
  • 3-5 years' experience working at a Big 4 or Mid-Tier chartered firm.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Team-oriented and adaptable, with a focus on meeting deadlines and driving improvements.
