Strategic Credit Risk Expert

This role will ensure accurate calculations of expected credit losses and optimize the application of credit methodology.
The Portfolio Credit Risk Specialist will collaborate with a team to maintain, execute, and enhance credit provision calculations, leveraging analytics tools such as Python, R, and SQL. The position requires experience working with credit provision models and proficiency in Snowflake and Confluence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance credit provision calculations using analytics tools.
- Collaborate with the team to automate current operating processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide insights to Management on provision movements and evaluate the provision methodology.
- Prepare regular internal reports for stakeholders and support external credit risk reporting deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with credit provision models and AASB 9 accounting standard.
- Proficiency in analytics tools and Snowflake.
- Strong analytical and communication skills and knowledge of credit risk management frameworks.
