We are seeking a skilled operative to join our foundry team in Ballina, Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for general store keeping and occasional support with manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities- Ensure all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining company values.
- Plan daily output of product to meet quality requirements.
- Manufacture moulds according to work schedule.
- Pour moulds at correct temperature and secure them ready for further processing.
- Clear moulds from the pouring floor in a timely manner and knockout sand moulds safely.
- Deliver priority castings to the fettling shop as requested by supervisors.
- Ensure castings are checked for defects and quarantined when necessary.
- Operate hand tools and power tools, handheld operations.
- Maintain equipment in good condition and report any issues to your supervisor.
- Contribute to process improvements and contribute ideas at toolbox meetings.
- Be motivated and possess an impeccable safety record.
- Have a strong work ethic and be keen to contribute to a progressive organisation.
- Forklift Licence (desirable)
- Literate & Numerate (desirable)
