Job Title: Coastal Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Coastal Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the council's coastal infrastructure, ensuring it remains in good condition and continues to provide excellent services to the community.

Ballina Shire Council is located on the Far North Coast of New South Wales, offering a vibrant community and stunning coastal environment. Our shire is a popular tourist destination with beautiful beaches, rainforests, and hinterland hideaways.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair council-owned coastal infrastructure, including roads, seawalls, and other assets;
  • Operate heavy machinery, such as graders, to perform maintenance tasks;
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety protocols and regulations;
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of services;
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members of the public.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in civil construction and maintenance;
  • Class C driver's license with manual transmission capability;
  • High level of competence in operating heavy machinery;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
